You know you are a football fan when your grooms’ cake is a replica of a football field. I stood looking at Richard’s cake for a minute wondering what it was. Then it finally hit me, it was a football field, duh!

It was Megan’s wedding day and the weather would just not cooperate. It kept raining and raining. As we prepared for Megan and Richard’s arrival at the Vista on Seward Hill, I couldn’t help but wonder how Megan was coping. After all she had planned for this beautiful outdoor wedding. Here the day had finally arrived and marred by all this rain.

We weren’t expecting an indoor ceremony but had to adjust and adopt very quickly. Meeting Megan and Richard was a pleasure, though disappointed, they were taking everything in stride and enjoying their wedding day.

Now I must say; their wedding vows were the most unique I’d ever heard. I thought it was refreshing and original. They truly are a warm and beautiful couple who are very much in love. Here is a highlight from their lovely wedding. We are honored they chose us to be part of their special day.

When Hal and Clara Sevier built their Italian style villa along the shores of Lake Austin in 1916, little did they know it would play host to some of Austin's magnificent weddings. The Villa known today as Laguna Gloria Art Museum is a perfect setting for an Austin wedding.

This time we were back at Saint Austin Catholic Church with Emma and Edwin remember we featured Quoc and Michelle at Saint Austin last year. There is always a benefit to shooting at a familiar location. You feel like you’ve been there before and learned all the lessons on capturing the best footage.

However there is always a big challenge in keeping things fresh. Our ultimate goal is to create a unique film for every bride so with this highlight we decided to tell the wedding story of Emma. A bride blessed by her family as she begins her journey down the path of holy matrimony. She gets ready for her handsome prince Edwin who eagerly awaits her at St Austin Catholic Church with his band of brothers. They share their vows, go out to the park for a good time and share their evening dancing away with their friends and family. Being Catholics of Indian decent we wanted to also capture some elements of the Indian culture hence the dressing sequences of Emma putting on her Sari.

The choice of songs was a pure coincidence although Emma is definitely Edwin’s Desi girl. It was played at the reception and the party went wild. Here we use that evening dance to give you a sense of how much fun Emma and Edwin had at their wedding. Like most of the couples we create wedding films for, Emma and Edwin felt like family and as usual we pulled all the stops to make sure they could remember this day completely.

When we met Sylvie in Houston it felt like we had known her for years. She was very excited about our work and we instantly ushered her into the Graymask family. A million phone calls later the wedding day finally arrived. The logistics of the day meant that we could not cover her getting ready but using some Graymask magic we remedied that in the highlight. On the wedding day we finally got to meet Andrew who is just full of life. They had a beautiful catholic mass at Chapel of St Basil on the campus of University of St. Thomas. This beautiful campus is located in Houston Texas.

The wedding ceremony was followed by a fun filled reception at Kim Son that brought together two cultures and some interesting games. The most excitement came when Sylvie had to feel the butts of a few men to determine who was her husband. Lets just say she failed miserably but we all had fun watching. Sorry it is R-Rated so we could not bring it to you.

Every once in a while you come across that guy, yes that that guy! The one who is so full of energy and exuberance for life, he single handedly makes life worth living. That is how you feel when you are around Boogie. When you meet Stephanie, you come to understand why they make a perfect couple. In one word, I would say she is “alive” and they both couldn’t have picked a better life companion.

Stephanie was the perfect Graymask bride, who knew she wanted a wedding video, a wedding videographer she could count on for her wedding day and a wedding film she and Boogie could watch over and over again. Like many brides who visit us on the web, she liked the unique Graymask approach to wedding videos. A custom wedding film tailored to every bride.

Their wedding day was jammed packed with activities with Stephanie and Boogie exchanging gifts earlier during the day. Boogie put his groomsmen to task as they helped him craft his vows on a white board. It all came together nicely with Stephanie choking up a bit as she read her vows. Congratulations to Maryann and John, we had a total blast filming their wedding in Houston, Texas this past weekend. Their wedding had many firsts. It was our first Coptic Orthodox wedding which was filled with Egyptian tradition, culture and ceremony. The reception came alive with rhythmic Arabic music which was also a first. The staff at the Doubletree downtown Houston was easy to work with and made sure we had everything we needed.

Finally this sneak preview is also a first in the history of Graymask. We hope to keep this alive and share a sneak preview of our upcoming weddings and events.

As his bride looks at him, she immediately knows what’s in his heart. She is reassured of her choice in a life partner! As Robin and Joe read their vows, smiled broadly at each other, giggled uncontrollably and shed tears of joy, these were the thoughts that run through my mind. There was a certain excitement in the air and a youthful vibrance which was simply infectious. They were both aware of the magnitude of the life long journey they wear about to embark.

League City equidistant from Houston and Galveston played host to the wedding of Sharee and Jared. Although we always shoot weddings in Houston we had never shot a wedding in League City and we understandably were curious.  We were also very excited because our new Glide track slider system had just arrived from the UK and we could not wait to play.

Wedding cinema is all about moments. When Sharee sang to Jared it was one of those moments that could not be captured any other way. Thirty years from now their grand children will replay and experience the moments of this wedding captured for a lifetime. The value of reliving such moments is simple priceless. Barr Mansion where going green is the philosophy and organic produce the flavor you are privileged to enjoy! Barr Mansion is one of the most popular and premier wedding venues in Austin, Texas. Shaida and Aaron’s ceremony took place on the Barr Mansion’s grounds and their reception in the magnificent Artisan Ballroom. The gardens were filled with flowers and birds. What a way to share your most important and beautiful day of your life with nature!

Bridgette Kennedy of Clink Events took care of all the details and results were fabulous! Sarah Q was the photography studio. They did a wonderful job and we enjoyed working with them!
