A wedding planner or wedding consultant is as important as your wedding cake, wedding dress, and wedding location. It is however; debatable as to the extent that you would use your wedding planner.

Many of Austin’s wedding planners have multiple packages that differ in their involvement in planning your wedding day. They range from being there from day one to your wedding date. In which they will assist you in recommending vendors, venues, themes, and ideas that suite your vision to packages that have them coordinate your wedding day only.

If you are one of the tough “can do” gals, I would still highly suggest to have a wedding planner on your wedding day, simply to give you a chance to enjoy the day, you have been planning for months.

Budget is a word many of us loath when it comes to a bash like your wedding day. Truth to be told, tracking your expenses and making sure that all and I mean all items have been accounted for and are being tracked is a lifesaver at the end of your wedding planning journey.

A wedding planner’s vendor suggestion can be invaluable, especially if they have worked with that vendor out in the field.  However; it is prudent for you, the bride to visit with the suggested vendor and confirm that what was suggested is of your liking.

One of the many things a wedding planner does is create a timeline for your wedding day. This is the foundation of a successful wedding day. On a timeline, all vendors would have their contact information and their arrival times. A final version of your timeline is usually sent out two weeks prior to your wedding day to all vendors. Besides everyone knowing what is scheduled when, those vendors that need to coordinate prior to your wedding day, will have a chance to communicate and hence offering you a smooth running day.

Last but not least is stress. No one is born knowing how to plan a wedding. Wedding planning is a coordination of your fiancé, family and friends. Though you are tempted to delegate much to your fiancé, family and friends, it can easily turn into a very stressful situation.

Stress can be brought on by having no one helping to having too many cooks in the kitchen. Half of the time they may have never organized a wedding themselves. So, we go back to suggesting in hiring a wedding planner who will alleviate stress of planning you wedding. Giving you a chance to enjoy planning your wedding day and turn into a stress free radiant bride!
